The advisory-only notice

Alongside the MIT terms, the repository’s license carries an advisory-only notice that is binding on any derivative work. The core of the notice is:

uwwoe is not affiliated with the University of Waterloo. uwwoe is an advisory exploration tool, not a substitute for Quest, official academic advisors, or any other authoritative academic record. Always confirm degree requirements with Quest and an official advisor before making registration decisions.

If you build on uwwoe — fork the codebase, reuse the index pipeline, embed the API client — you inherit this constraint. Any user-facing surface must continue to present the advisory-only character of the tool.

Contributions

External contributions are not currently being accepted. The project is pre-V1 and the contract surface is still moving. Locked architecture decisions live under Decisions (ADRs); the open-work backlog is internal-only at this stage.
